NIO House ShaoxingNIO is one of the leading companies for electric vehicles in China. With the pure and sophisticated brand gist, it aims to create a “third space” for its target consumers, which includes a “NIO Gallery” to showcase the cars, and a “NIO Club” for its members to chill and gather. We worked on three fllagship stores in Shaoxing, Changshu and Wuxi City. The design aims to interpret and build the NIO brand philosophy , combined with local elements to create a high-end yet cozy user space for its customers.

REBRANDED AS TC-558 AN ACRONYM OF TREND CENTRE AT 558 NANJING EAST ROAD (558 NUMBER HAS THE DOUBLE MEANING OF BEING PROSPEROUS). TO BE IN ‘TREND MEAN’ IS TO ALWAYS BE CHANGING, TO ALWAYS BE NEW AND OF-THE-MOMENT. THE FAÇADE OF THE BUILDING AND THE INTERIOR MUST THEREFORE ALLOW THIS SAME EVOLUTION. Modern Memento | Subway Station DesignThis site locates in a prime part of Changsha City, which is the core modern commercial centre of the whole city, or even the whole province. It is named after a rather signi cant gure of China: Huang Xing, the founder of People’s Republic of China. Out of these rea- sons, the history of old Changsha must be embedded into the most modern area in an appropriate way. As there are many historical scupture around the suyway station site, and also many very modern buildings with very clean lines and simple geometry, so maybe it is a good way to combine these two aspects together, by creating a modern momento to memorise Huang Xing in a seamless way.

A Hidden Unobtrusiveness | Art Museum DesignNanjing City is a rather modern, beautiful yet historical city with many well-preserved palac- es from ancient China. Fortunately and unfortunately, this site sits right in the middle of one of those historical remains. So before starting this design project, I asked myself a question. Is it feasible to build a vibrant art museum in such an important historical area and minimize, at the same time, the impact it exerts to the surrounding district? Yes! As a win-win solution, this museum is buried with clearly no intention to interrupt the wonderful view of this historical city. And it is accessed by ramps and stairs going deep into the city park to discover again, from inside the museum, the park and the city. And basically, this design is based on uniting dualities: past and future, inside and outside, day and night, calm and dynamic, large and small, private and public.
